United Steelworkers Local 708 representatives are elected to serve, support, and advocate for our members. Our role is to enforce the Collective Bargaining Agreement, protect member rights, and address workplace concerns fairly and professionally.
Members are encouraged to contact a union representative if they have questions, concerns, or issues related to working conditions, discipline, safety, or contract interpretation.
Union representatives are here to assist and guide members, ensuring proper procedures are followed and contractual rights are upheld.

Local 708 Union Representatives also serve on committees that support the membership and strengthen workplace protections. The following committees are:
Safety Committee
Works to address workplace safety concerns
Coordinates with members and management when appropriate
Works to identify hazards and promote safe working conditions
Negotiating Committee
Participates in contract negotiations
Gathers and represents member input during bargaining periods
Grievance Committee
Assists with grievance processing and follow-up
Helps ensure grievances are handled in accordance with the contract
Members may contact a union representative for assistance regarding workplace concerns, grievances or questions.
